CLEVELAND, OH. March 23, 2010. Euclid Avenue Congregational United Church of Christ was totally destroyed by fire this morning. Rev. Felix Carrion, who will be our keynote speaker at the upcoming Joint Cooperative Worship this summer was pastor of Euclid before being called as national director of the United Church of Christ Still Speaking Ministry. Thanks be to God, no one was injured in this fire. Please pray for this vital ministry in downtown Cleveland.
We invite anyone who has old but serviceable appliances - the 4 majors - washer, dryer, refrigerator or range - to consider donating to our Appliance Recycling Program serving those in need in Geauga county.
Some interesting facts concerning navigation. Site navigation can be seen in three places. 1 - check the Top Title of your Browser, it will always show the linked page you are on. 2 - the click-able navigation links in the left side-bar. 3 - with what is called bread-crumb navigation you can see where you are and where you have been just above this block. 4 - and, if there are sub-links within a manor category, they will show up at the bottom of the page. Simple, elegant and multiple ways to know where you've been and where you are. You can also do a search with the search client to the left. Will search a phrase or a single word. And, lastly, there is the Site Map which will give you a quick layout of the website and the corresponding links.I would also suggest, since this program does not come with a spell-check that you look into www.iespell.com for a FREE download of their spell-check client. It will run with a click in the TOOLS menu in the TASK BAR of your browser. Only works in Microsoft Internet Explorer. But, a very useful program. It will check text in text-boxes such as the one that the editor uses for this program or when writing within any online text-box.
The purpose of the Geauga County Cooperative Ministry shall be to promote and facilitate activities, programs of fellowship, outreach, and spiritual growth among the Geauga county United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as well as the larger church community. We seek to witness to the Gospel through a variety of ministries, using our combined efforts to achieve more than would be possible as individual congregations.
